Case Study: Galvanize 1.0
The following is a case study from Knoll featuring products and solutions available through LCS.
Galvanize reinvents how startup companies function and provides the much-needed capital and education to get their ideas off the ground. Their goal is to give entrepreneurs and innovators the best chance for a successful launch of their new ventures by creating an “innovation ecosystem” - a space defined by growing startups, accelerated entrepreneurial business growth, that provides a place for many purposes, and develops future technology talent.
The Challenge
The team required a space that evolved the settings traditionally associated with contemporary grassroots entrepreneurs such as garages or basements. A range of different-sized work spaces including furniture that adapts to changing technology and supports multiple types of high-tech collaborative spaces was fundamental to the space’s success.
The goal was to create a space where people from the surrounding startup community were compelled to come and that meant an innovative hub where people could not only connect professionally, but socially as well.

The Solution
For Galvanize, Knoll provided all of the furniture solutions to create their “Living Lab”, including high top tables for quick meetings, enclosed conference areas, Antenna tables and desks allowing employees to be mobile, and Propeller training and conference tables for easy reconfiguration.
The end result incorporated the blending of a fashionable, boutique hotel, a hip café, and an advanced, high-tech office into a single dynamic space that serves as a social and public hub.
Galvanize has brought Denver into the entrepreneurial conversation, becoming the heart of its startup community. Galvanize hosts 10 to 12 events a week and draws some of the most well-known names in the tech industry for insight.
