Case Study: The McIntosh Gallery
A university-based, public art gallery since 1942, the McIntosh Gallery collaborates with artists, curators and academics to develop innovative strategies to interpret and disseminate visual culture.

Working with Melinda Elwood of the UWO Design Department, LCS helped the Gallery increase collaboration, improve the working environment, and create more functional space with the installation of six new workstations and a boardroom solution.

The previous office furniture at the Gallery consisted of dated hand-me-downs from the University. The Gallery wanted to keep their business local but with a global reach; the Knoll design influence was very important in this regard.

The new space is much more functional and is being used exactly how the Gallery had imagined. Product lines such as Knoll Antenna, Knoll Template, Knoll Life Chairs, Knoll Dividends, and Allseating Intertia Chairs have created an exceptional blend between modern design and the historical characteristics of the building.
